Falcade and Valle del Biois
The Valle del Biois Valley is about 20 km long going from the San Pellegrino Pass to the town of Cencenighe Agordino. It is connected to Trentino by two passes, the San Pellegrino and the Valles. Valle del Bios is one of the most beautiful valleys of the Dolomites, surrounded by Marmolada, Pale di San Martino and Monte Civetta. It comprises several towns and of particular importance is Falcade, a famous touristic centre where you can see many examples of “tabià”, a traditional Venetian barn, and visit the Augusto Murer Museum, that showcases a rich collection of works, sculptures and drawings by the Falcadian artist. Another important municipality of Valle del Biois is Canale d’Agordo, the hometown of Pope John Paul I.
Alpago, Lago di Santa Croce, Cansiglio
Alpago, a region within the Belluno province, includes in its territory the Santa Croce Lake and the Cansiglio Woods. Both locations are prime destinations for summer holidays. Alpago, Cansiglio and Santa Croce Lake represent landmarks for those wanting to combine windsurfing, kite surfing, paragliding, fishing and climbing.
Santa Croce Lake is a natural lake and the second largest basin of Veneto, located on the border between Belluno and Treviso.
Vette Feltrine - Croce d’Aune, Monte Avena
Not to be missed while on a holiday in the Dolomites is the gorgeous hiking trail on the Avena Mount. From the Mount you can enjoy a unique view over the peaks of Vette Feltrine and the Alpine foothills. It is also an ideal mountain biking trail. Following the path you will reach an imposing climb that will lead you to the Apine hut of Giorgio Dal Piaz, on the Croce D’Aune Pass.

Comelico - Sappada
Sappada is a municipality in the Belluno Dolomites and it has become a very popular touristic destination for both summer and winter holidays. It stands at an elevation of 1200 meters between the areas of Cadore and Carnia. The main peaks in the surroundings of Sappada are Monte Peralba, with a peak of 2694 meters and at whose feet the Piave River is born, Pic Cjadenis and Monte Lastroni.
Comelico is a land at the edge of the Dolomites, with Santo Stefano di Cadore as its main cultural centre, located between Val Pàdola and Val Pusteria.

Cadore, Auronzo, Misurina, Tre Cime di Lavaredo
The area of Cadore sits in the northernmost part of the Belluno province, within Veneto, inside the mountainous region of the Eastern Dolomites; it is framed by the legendary peaks of Tre Cime di Lavaredo, Marmarole and Cadini di Misurina.
The peaks of Tre Cime di Lavaredo are a prominent symbol of the Dolomites Natural Park and are considered some of the greatest wonders of mountain climbing.
The peaks are:
- Cima Piccola (Little Peak), in the central position (2999 meters);
- Cima Ovest (Western Peak);
- Cima Piccola (Little Peak).
On the peaks there are numerous trails that are suitable to any kind of tourist; some of the paths are fully equipped to allow hikers to reach panoramic viewing points.
Auronzo di Cadore, resting on the borders with South Tyrol and Trentino, is another municipality of the Belluno province, popular as both summer and winter destination.
