The romantic surroundings are an invitation to walk, go on alpine hikes or just simply to switch off from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Try Nordic walking in the most beautiful fitness centre there is - nature. There are over 300km of well-signposted hiking and walking paths all around the horseshoe-shaped Sarentino Valley with its 140 mountain peaks. Put on snowshoes to discover nature right from the start of the cross-country skiing trails (25km of cross-country skiing trails) - and follow the skiers to the summit.

Downhill skiers and snowboarders can find ski slopes and apres-ski fun in the nearby ski resort of Reinswald/ San Martino (www.reinswald.com). Ski school, ski nursery, snowshoeing - with snowshoe hire, ski tours and snowshoe hikes on the nearby mountains, ice skating on the artificial ice rink and curling are all on offer.

 
Radelspitze/ Cima Rodella - our recommended hike:

This hike starts from the hotel and takes you from an altitude of 1250m to 2422m past the "Ferchwasser" (a spring of reddish-brown water with very high iron content). At the end of this hike, you can continue over the Leiterspitz to the Genteralm and descend to Astfeld, where we can pick you up or you can take the bus back. This hike takes 6-7 hours.

 
Weißhorn/ Corno Bianco - a circular hike:

IThe hotel bus departs early for Penser Joch/ Passo di Pennes (2250m), then hike to the Penser Joch Lake and continue to the Weißhorn (2557m) for a unique panoramic view and then descend towards Weissenbach and back to the hotel. This hike - medium-grade difficulty - takes 5-6 hours. Our two special hikes give you a little taste of our hiking week schedule.

What could really be finer for a keen mountain-biker than to discover and savour the Sarentino Valley, the largest community in terms of area in the South Tyrol, with its 541 isolated farms, a 200km network of forest tracks connecting properties and pastures and over 300km of hiking trails making the natural landscape easily accessible to cyclists.

Our hotel is situated at an altitude of 1,200m, framed by the horseshoe shape of the Sarentino Alps, surrounded by lush meadows and forests. While staying with us, holiday-makers can switch off and really relax - a complete break from day-to-day routine.
