The lovely Bullaccia is located above our house.
The panoramic view over the mountain and valley scenery of the holiday resort South Tyrol is way too beautiful to be described in words or even in pictures.
You benefit from an easy access to numerous hiking trails directly at our house. Enjoy hikes to the Marinzen Alp, San Michele, Bad Ratzes or to the mushroom forest of Laranza and many more. The outdoor swimming pool of Telfen is located in immediate vicinity. By bus you can easily reach the modern cable way which connects you with the Alpe di Siusi and furthermore with the Sellaronda in the Dolomiti Superski area. The bus stop is situated in a 5 minutes walking distance in summer and winter.
Our culture is very important to us therefore we perform folk music and folklore dancing.

In the year 2005 we started constructing our house with three apartments for guests. The spacious apartments are equipped with all facilities and amenities. Each offers a bedroom with balcony, a kitchen-cum-living room and a bathroom with bathtub respectively with shower. The sun bathing lawn with panoramic view of the Sciliar offers a lot of space for children to play and for adults to relax and enjoy.

Many events take place throughout the year in Castelrotto. It starts with the New Year Day’s fireworks and the multimedia show in January until February. The Kastelruther Spatzen Open air, during which the whole Alpe di Siusi and Castelrotto are celebrating, takes place in June. The Oswald von Wolkenstein Riding Tournament proceeds every year with exemplary commitment of the teams, bands, the folk dance group of Castelrotto and others. The large Kastelruther Spatzenfest in October and the Christmas market with crib exhibition in December attract many guests as well.

The bus stop is situated in 5 walking minutes from our house and the Alpe di Siusi is easily reachable by cable car. The nearby towns of Bolzano, Merano and Bressanone are worth visiting.

After a wonderful hike or stroll through the cities of South Tyrol, Villa Schönau is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the sunset.
